One of my goals is to take every opportunity I can to spend time around a fire with people in the outdoor community. Sometimes that's taking a class to improve skills I already have. Sometimes it's learning skills I don't have yet. And sometimes it's simply finding an opportunity to connect with people who share a love of the outdoors.

I'm always looking for more of those opportunities. The more we get outside, share what we know and spend time together, the more chances we have to find our people.

There was a time when I felt completely disconnected from the place that had always felt like home. This is the story of how I lost my way, the lessons I learned along the journey, and how returning to nature helped me rediscover who I was.
