Pieced Vintage Army Wool Bucket Bag
Sometimes the scraps are too good to be scraps.
After making several projects from our vintage army wool blankets, I was left with smaller pieces that weren't really large enough to make much on their own. But when I lined them all up, I loved seeing the different shades of old wool together.
So I started sewing.
I joined the pieces into one patchwork panel and turned it into this one of a kind Bucket Bag.

Made From What Was Left
This bag is a good example of why I have such a hard time throwing useful material away.
Each piece of wool was too small for another full project, but together they became something completely new. I left the different colors visible because that's what made me want to make the bag in the first place.
The seams, color changes and variations in the old wool are all part of the design.
One of a Kind
This particular combination came from the wool scraps we had on the table, so there won't be another one exactly like it.
Old material, small pieces, one more adventure.
