Small Cedar Bucket Bag – 1970s Cottage Quilt Edition
A Little Bit Wild. A Little Bit Cottage.
This one made us smile.
We came across a piece of 1970s quilting fabric that felt straight out of a “Little House on the Prairie” kind of world—warm, patterned, and full of character. Not something you see every day, and definitely not something we could pass up.
So we built a bag around it.
The result is a Cedar Bucket Bag that still does everything it’s supposed to—but carries a completely different kind of personality.
Built for Everyday Use
This is our SmallCedar Bucket Bag—easy to carry, easy to use, and sized right for day trips, camp setups, or everyday gear.
- Small size 9" deep with a 5.25" diameter
- Four exterior pockets (5" x 5.25") wrapped in vintage quilt fabric
- Yellow waxed canvas bottom for durability with a brown bottom
- Leather lace with a wood toggle
It’s simple, functional, and just a little more expressive than your standard setup.
A Fabric with a Past
- 1970s quilting fabric (approx. 50 years old)
- Cottage-inspired patterns with natural variation
- Cut and placed to highlight the original design
This fabric cost a bit more—and it shows. The colors, the detail, the feel—it’s not something modern production really replicates.
It was made to last then, and it will again.
Materials That Hold Up
- Waxed canvas body
- Three Vintage quilt fabric pockets
- Reinforced construction
- Brown waxed canvas base
The waxed canvas gives it structure and weather resistance. It will wear in over time, picking up marks and character along the way.

One of a Kind
