One of a Kind Waxed Canvas Foraging Pouch | Vintage Boy Scout Metalwork Patch

A little piece of Scouting history, given a whole new adventure.

Every once in a while, we come across something vintage that deserves another chance to be appreciated. This time, it was an original Boy Scout merit badge from the 1970s.

We paired our Original PNWBUSHCRAFT Foraging Pouch with an unusual combination of black and olive green waxed canvas, then added a vintage Metalwork Merit Badge to the front flap.

The patch features a black lantern with a small flame against a golden yellow background, surrounded by green embroidery. It's a wonderful little piece of Scouting history, originally representing the skills involved in working with metal.

We especially love that this particular badge celebrates craftsmanship. It seems fitting that something once awarded for learning to make things by hand now has a new home on something made by hand.

And because we're using an original vintage patch, this is a one-of-a-kind pouch.
