Vintage Smith & Wesson Patch Large Cedar Bucket Bag

Every once in a while, I find an old patch that I know needs to become the centerpiece of a bag.

This vintage Smith & Wesson patch was one of those finds. The bold red and gold embroidery really stands out against the deep navy waxed canvas, so we kept the rest of the bag simple and let the patch do the talking.

We built it into a slightly larger Cedar Bucket Bag with plenty of room for gear and five exterior pockets.

This Large Cedar Bucket Bag gives you more carrying room than our standard medium while still being an easy size to grab for the shop, campsite, vehicle or wherever you're headed.

The five outside pockets keep smaller gear organized and easy to reach, while the large center compartment gives you plenty of room for everything else.

A Piece of Vintage Character

One of my favorite things about working with vintage patches is giving them a completely new life.

Instead of sitting forgotten in a drawer or box, this old Smith & Wesson patch gets to head back out into the world on a piece of gear made to actually be used.

The navy waxed canvas was the perfect backdrop for this one. It's classic and understated until you get to that big pop of red and gold on the front.

Built to Age Beautifully

We use heavy duty waxed canvas because it only gets better with use. Scratches, creases and scuffs become part of the story, developing the rich patina that makes waxed canvas so distinctive.

Pair that with a vintage patch that already has some history of its own, and this bag should have plenty of character for years to come.
