Deep Foraging Pouch with Vintage Scout Patches
Sometimes we find a little stash of something old and immediately know we need to turn it into something fun.
We recently picked up a collection of vintage scout patches, and these three seemed like they belonged on our Deep Foraging Pouches. Each patch features a different outdoor skill or activity, giving every pouch its own personality and a little piece of scouting history.
We made the pouches with a chocolate waxed canvas body and green waxed canvas front, then added one original vintage embroidered scout patch to the flap. The combination of the earthy waxed canvas colors and those wonderfully colorful old patches feels like something that could have come straight out of an old camp trunk.
And because these are actual vintage patches rather than reproductions, each pouch is different.
Our Deep Foraging Pouch gives you more carrying room than our original size while still folding up when you're not using it. Wear it on your belt while foraging, hiking, exploring camp, collecting tinder or just wandering around seeing what you find.
The pouch measures approximately 9" wide × 12" deep when open and attaches to a belt with two snaps. The belt loops accommodate belts up to approximately 2" wide.
When you aren't using it, the pouch folds up into a compact package so it can stay on your belt or tuck into your pack until you need it again.

Because these are vintage patches, they may show small signs of age or previous use. We don't consider that a flaw. That's part of the fun of taking something with a history and giving it a completely new purpose.

Our 10.1 oz waxed canvas is made from 100% cotton and is designed to develop character with use. Scratches, creases and marks are a natural part of waxed canvas and will eventually create a patina unique to your adventures.
