Reclaimed Army Wool Zipper Pouch with Woodland Camo Lining

I have really been enjoying finding different ways to use this thick olive green wool Army blanket. The blanket dates to 2011, so it isn't quite vintage yet, but it is such a wonderful piece of material that I couldn't resist turning some more of it into useful gear.

This zipper pouch is made from the thick, soft and slightly bouncy wool from that blanket and lined with 1990s woodland camo cotton. I love the combination of the classic olive wool on the outside and the surprise of the camo when you open it up.

The pouch measures approximately 9" wide by 6" tall and has a cotton loop at each end. The loops make it easy to grab, hang or attach the pouch depending on how you decide to use it.

It's a great size for organizing EDC gear, small tools, electronics, charging cords, art supplies, toiletries or all those little things that tend to disappear into the bottom of your pack.

One of the things I love about working with reclaimed materials is getting to give really good fabric another purpose. This Army blanket already had a life before it came into our shop, and now a piece of it gets to head back out into the world as something completely different.

Because we are working with reclaimed materials, there may be small variations, marks or signs of the fabric's previous life. We think that's part of what makes these pieces interesting and unique.

Each item is designed, created and assembled in our small shop in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We value traditional skills, useful gear and well-made products designed to be used for years. Our goal is to create pieces that become part of your adventures and, hopefully, something worth passing along someday.
