2011 U.S. Army Wool Zipper Pouch – Patuxent River Patch
Sometimes we come across a material that is just too good not to turn into something new.
This pouch started as a thick U.S. military wool bed blanket dated 2011. The wool has a wonderful substantial feel to it. It's thick, soft, a little bouncy, and exactly the kind of material that makes you understand why wool has been trusted for generations.
We turned a piece of that blanket into a simple, rugged zipper pouch and added a vintage-style Patuxent River Cleanup 1992 patch to the front. The bright greens and yellows of the patch look fantastic against the olive wool and give this one a little bit of history layered onto its history.
A leather loop at the end gives you an easy place to grab, hang or clip the pouch.
At approximately 9" wide × 5.75" tall, it's a really useful size for organizing the little things that otherwise disappear into your pack or bag.
Use it for EDC gear, charging cords, art supplies, camp essentials, toiletries, first aid supplies, small tools, travel organization or whatever collection of little things you need to keep together.
