1970s Vintage Dot Small Cedar Bucket Bag

Sometimes a tiny piece of fabric is enough to inspire an entire build.

We only managed to get a small amount of this wonderful vintage 1970s fabric, covered in colorful dots in orange, yellow, green and earthy brown.

There isn't enough of it to make very many things, so for this Small Cedar Bucket Bag we paired it with bright yellow waxed canvas and used the vintage fabric to wrap the outside pockets.

It feels cheerful, a little retro and very much like fall in the woods.

Built for Everyday Adventures

Our Cedar Bucket Bags are designed to be useful wherever you take them.

Use one for foraging, camp gear, craft supplies, gardening tools, road trip organization or all those miscellaneous little things that never seem to have a home.

The open bucket shape makes it easy to see what's inside, while the outside pockets keep smaller items close at hand.

A Very Small Piece of the Past

Finding old fabric we love is one thing. Finding a lot of old fabric we love is another.

We only have a small piece of this particular 1970s textile, which means there simply won't be many PNWBUSHCRAFT pieces made from it.

We're cutting it carefully and using it where it can make the biggest impact rather than letting such a fun old textile disappear into the fabric pile.

Once it's gone, it's gone.

Built to Age Beautifully

The waxed canvas will crease, scratch, soften and develop a patina as you use your bag. That's part of its character and exactly what we expect from a piece of gear meant to go outside.

Pair that aging waxed canvas with fabric that's already been around for roughly half a century, and we think this bag is only going to get more interesting.

Handmade by PNWBUSHCRAFT

Cut and sewn in our Washington State workshop using a mix of durable new materials and old textiles worth putting back to work.

Built to last, not landfill.
