This one came straight from the shop, shaped by all of you.
During one of our Make It Monday sessions, we started playing with a Flecktarn poncho shelter piece we had tucked away. It had already lived a life outdoors, seen some weather, and carried a story we didn’t want to waste. As the votes came in, the direction became clear—and this roll is where it landed.
The result is a rugged, heirloom-quality pocketknife roll that blends that upcycled Flecktarn with our 10.1 oz waxed canvas. Every piece is a little different depending on how that original fabric lays out, which means no two are exactly the same.
This is the kind of piece that feels right at home whether it’s sitting on your workbench, traveling in your pack, or unrolled by the fire at camp.
Built for Real Use
The Maple Roll is designed to carry a working collection—not just look good doing it.

Materials That Earn Their Keep
We don’t use materials that can’t keep up.
- 10.1 oz waxed canvas for structure and durability
- Upcycled Flecktarn fabric from a military poncho shelter piece
- Reinforced stress points for repeated use
- Heavy-duty outdoor thread throughout
- Finished with a Kodiak leather lace closure
The waxed canvas is made using a process that dates back to the 1800s. It’s water-resistant, tough, and meant to age with you. It will mark, scuff, and wear in—not out—developing that patina that tells the story of how you use it.
A Note on the Flecktarn
This is upcycled material, and that’s intentional.
You may see small variations, previous stitching lines, or signs of its past life. We see that as part of the character—not a flaw. It means you’re carrying something that already has a story, and now it gets to be part of yours.
