Heritage Tartan Wool Lined Travel Tray
A little Scottish heritage, a little Pacific Northwest craftsmanship, and a whole lot of character.
Sometimes the materials we find have stories that are just too good not to share.
We recently came across a collection of beautiful 100% wool tartan fabric samples from Scottish interior designer Mikhail Pietranek. In 1994, Pietranek introduced a fabric collection inspired by his Scottish heritage, reimagining traditional tartans for use in home interiors.
These particular samples once belonged to a designer fabric collection, and rather than letting those beautiful pieces of wool go unused, we decided to give them a new purpose.
We paired the richly colored tartan wool with our rugged 10.1 oz waxed canvas to create a special edition of our medium travel trays. Each one features a different tartan lining, sturdy snap corners, and a hand-branded leather PNWBUSHCRAFT label.
They're perfect for keeping your everyday carry organized, collecting the little treasures you find along the way, or simply giving your favorite things a place to land.
Unsnap the corners and the tray lays completely flat, making it easy to pack for your next adventure.

A little piece of history, made for new adventures.
Because we're working with reclaimed designer fabric samples, quantities are limited and each tartan has its own personality. Once a particular piece of wool is gone, we may not be able to make another one just like it.
Built to last, not landfill.
