Sometimes a piece of fabric just stops you in your tracks.
We came across this incredible vintage wool plaid in shades of purple, pink, green, and blue, and it immediately felt like spring in the woods. The colors have that unmistakable mid-century character — the kind of fabric you rarely see anymore.
Based on the palette and weave, we believe this wool dates somewhere around the 1950s or 1960s, and we knew it deserved to become something special.
So we paired it with a beautiful green waxed canvas we had been saving for the right project. The colors matched so perfectly that we couldn’t resist turning it into one of our Deluxe Cedar Bucket Bags.
The result is a piece that feels both rugged and cheerful — vintage wool character wrapped around hardworking outdoor gear.
