We have made a 10.1 oz waxed canvas pouch which is very versatile. The inside is 6.75" by 3.5 "deep. The other side of the pouch is a giant pocket measuring 6.75" deep by almost 6.5" wide. The canvas has leather that wraps around the bag twice. The entire pouch measures 7" wide by 3.5" deep when closed. This was designed to hold pipe and tobacco but would work for fire-starting materials, repair kit, or snack items.
