All the beautiful shades of waxed canvas in my shop inspired a whole mountain scene which I created by cutting each piece of canvas and sewing it onto a canvas background. I used the stitching to create rolling mountains and it turned out gorgeous. I made these one-of-a-kind pieces as art but decided it would be way better to turn them into functional pieces so we handcrafted totes out of waxed canvas and use these to create an outside pocket. Each one will develop and get better with age. I'm not following a pattern just creating so no two are the same.
The tote is 15" deep with a flat bottom of 10" x 6" and is constructed with 10.1 oz waxed canvas and has a snap in the center so you can keep it closed when you want. The brown handles have a 12" drop and are 1.5' wide. The outside features a mountain and sun scene pocket in beautiful shades of yellow to purple with a canvas lining that measures 8" by 10" deep The inside also has a small zipper pocket that measures 8" by 7" and is made with 4 oz waxed canvas/nylon blend. This is a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art.
